In the eleventh match of PKL Season 12, against the Bengal Warriorz, Ayan Lohchab lifted the Pirates and himself to a thrilling 51-49 victory in Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in Delhi. Although Bengal Warriorz captain Devank Dalal had a spectacular game scoring 25 points, the Patna Pirates secured victory in the season’s highest-scoring match thus far.
Historic Night in PKL: 100 Points Scored in a Single Match
Patna Pirates vs Bengal Warriorz recorded 100 points the highest in a single match this season, and was only the third instance in PKL history when two raiders have scored 20+ points each in a single match.

This match will be remembered as one of the closest and most exciting games in recent PKL history.
First Half: Patna Take Early Control, Warriorz Bounce Back
The game began blazingly with Ayan and Devank scoring the first points of the match. The Patna Pirates were able to establish a quick two point advantage after Balaji D produced a superb tackle and Ankit Rana raided in two separate consecutive plays. Ayan turned a 2 point game into a 7 point advantage after the first All Out and on top of a commanding performance thus far.
But Bengal Warriorz weren’t going away. Devank and Himanshu Narwal fought back with relentless raiding, while Parteek aided with a crucial tackle. Ankit Rana’s tackle on Ayan temporarily gave Warriorz hope. Himanshu’s two-point raid and a Super Raid by Devank created Warriorz’ first All Out, turning the tide as they gained a 26-23 lead at half-time.
Second Half: Warriorz Extend Lead, Pirates Launch Comeback
Bengal Warriorz maintained pressure with a flurry of Super Tackles by Ankit, Ashish Malik, and Manjeet, pushing their lead to nine points with 10 minutes remaining.
But Patna Pirates, famous for their battling heart, staged a turnaround. Substitute Milan Dahiya scored a game-altering two-point raid, followed by an important tackle from Ankit Jaglan. Ayan took advantage to cause a second All Out, bringing the margin down to merely four points.
Dahiya went on to become a hero again by subjecting another All Out, putting Pirates ahead by one point. Aryan’s clutch Super Raid later took the lead to four points with less than two minutes remaining on the clock.
Final Moments: Ayan vs Devank in a Nail-Biting Finish
Devank attempted to claw Bengal back with a couple of swift points, reducing the margin to one. Towards the end of the match, a final Do-or-Die raid saw Ayan close the deal. Devank tried making a tackle on his ex-teammate but missed, allowing Ayan the match-winning point and giving Patna Pirates a close two-point victory.
