The Patna Pirates vs Bengaluru Bulls match took place at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium. Patna Pirates managed to beat Bengaluru Bulls in a tense tie-breaker that ended six to four. This came right after the teams tied at thirty-eight all during regular play.

The whole thing felt high-energy from start to finish. Ayan Lohchab really stood out there. He drove Patna’s attack forward and earned himself a Super Ten. Mandeep Kumar’s two-point raid in the tie-breaker sealed the win for them.

Ayan’s Super 10 Propels Patna Pirates to a Narrow Lead

The game started with both sides trading hits, raiders Ayan Lohchab (Patna Pirates) and Alireza Mirzaian (Bengaluru Bulls) receiving initial points for their teams.

Sanjay kicked off the evening’s action with the first tackle. Ashish Birwal responded right away for the Pirates with a solid effort. That early part turned into a tight battle. Both teams kept swapping points back and forth. Bengaluru Bulls held a slight edge at 8-7 after the opening 10 minutes.

Defensive Strengths Shine in the Second Quarter

As the game went on, the defence began to make itself felt, with Deepak Sankar and Navdeep excelling at the back. Navdeep’s Super Tackle, along with Ankit Rana’s tackle, gave the Pirates the advantage, and they opened a four-point lead. Both Ayan and Alireza were at their best, with both raiders having seven points in the first half. Ayan’s efforts saw Patna Pirates take a 16-13 lead at halftime.

Patna Pirates Dominate Second Half- Patna Pirates vs Bengaluru Bulls

The second half witnessed Patna Pirates adopting a go-getting attitude to exert pressure on Bengaluru Bulls. Navdeep provided a vital tackle in a Do-Or-Die Raid, and Ayan kept his brilliant form going to cause the game’s initial ALL OUT, leaving Patna Pirates well in charge with a 27-16 lead. Ankit Rana then opened up an 28-18 lead, with the Pirates appearing to have the game at their end.

But the Bengaluru Bulls were not out of it yet. Alireza took the lead, and along with Aashish Malik and Ganesha Hanamantagol, the Bulls staged an incredible comeback. Within six minutes, the Bulls had halved the deficit to five points. With less than three minutes remaining, Alireza’s ALL OUT had Bengaluru Bulls back in the game, equalizing the score at 30-28.

Alireza’s Heroics Take the Game to the Wire

It was a nail-biting finish as Alireza scored once more to tie the game at 38-38, taking the game to the absolute limit. There were only a few seconds remaining in regulation time when Ayan tried a Do-Or-Die Raid, managing to create a two-point lead.

However, Alireza hit back with a lightning-fast raid, leaving Patna Pirates to have one last raid. To the misfortune of Patna, Ayan was brought down by Manish, summing up the game into a thriller tiebreaker after the sides settled for a tie at regulation time.

Mandeep’s Clutch Raid Seals Victory for Patna Pirates

The match went to the tie-breaker, and Sudhakar and Aashish Malik scored for their teams, but Mandeep Kumar’s two-point raid had given Patna Pirates the vital edge. Having the advantage in their hands now, Ayan and Deepak Singh wrapped up the deal, winning the tiebreaker 6-4 for Patna Pirates.

Even after conceding an 11-point turnaround in regulation time, Patna Pirates demonstrated resilience and strategic excellence in the tie-breaker, courtesy of Ayan’s outstanding Super 10 and Mandeep’s game-winner raid. Bengaluru Bulls, although driven by Alireza, were unable to get the desired result in the decider.
