Argentine forward Paulo Dybala is set to join AS Roma on a free transfer this summer. Paulo Dybala was a free agent since June 2022 as his contract with Juventus FC was ended. There were other clubs who were interested in the attacking midfielder but AS Roma’s manager Jose Mourinho wanted him to sign as priority this summer.
Jose Mourinho was looking for a centre forward and he feels Dybala can be perfect for his team. AS Roma have signed Paulo Dybala in a three-year deal which will run until 2025. Paulo Dybala was about to join Inter Milan earlier this month, but due to some complications, the deal between the player and the club couldn’t be completed.
“Paulo Dybala to Roma, here we go! Full agreement in place on a three year contract, valid until 2025. Dybala will join as free agent. Mourinho, key factor – he called Dybala to explain the project. All the documents being prepared, free transfer imminent,” tweeted Fabrizio Romano on Monday, 18th July.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Roma manager (Jose Mourinho) was a key factor of this deal. The Argentine moved from one Italian side to another. He won’t be getting the Champions League football this year as the team (AS Roma) is in Europa League.
