PKL 12: Dabang Delhi Storms Into Final, Bengaluru Bulls Eliminated

Dabang Delhi K.C. storm into the final beating Puneri Paltan in Qualifier 1 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12). It was a thrilling 6-4 tiebreaker win for Ashu Malik-led side at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium on Monday night.

Delhi took an early lead through Saurabh Nandal and Ashu Malik, inflicting the first All-Out on Puneri Paltan. However, Aditya Shinde and Pankaj Mohite fought for the Paltan  to level the scores 16-16 by halftime.

The second half saw an intense contest with Aditya Shinde’s Super Raid and Gaurav Khatri’s tackles which helped Pune-side take a five-point lead. But Neeraj Narwal’s Super Raid in a do-or-die moment mounted Delhi’s comeback. The teams were locked 34-34 at full time in a fiercely contested match dominated by defenders.

With both teams facing each other for the third time this season, the tiebreaker saw Nandal produce a game-changing tackle early on. Malik and Akshit Dhull sealed the deal for Delhi, clinching a 6-4 tiebreaker win and booking their spot in the PKL Season 12 Final.

Puneri Paltan, meanwhile, will have another shot at reaching the summit clash when it plays Qualifier 2 on Wednesday.

Eliminator 2: Patna Pirates Overcomes Bengaluru Bulls

Patna Pirates continued its impressive run with a convincing 46–37 win over Bengaluru Bulls in Eliminator 2. They will now play in Eliminator 3 against Telugu Titans on Wednesday.

With this win, the Pirates extended its winning streak to eight matches. Star raider Ayan Lohchab led the charge with a superb 19-point performance, while the defence stayed compact to keep the Bulls under constant pressure.

The fight for Bengaluru came from Shubham Bitake, whose seven-point raid set a new PKL record for the most points scored in a single raid.

While both teams traded points early on,  the Patna-based side maintained its dominance through consistent raiding and tight defending which led to another All Out, extending the lead to 23–12 by halftime.

The Pirates continued their momentum in the second half through calculated raids and sharp tackles. They quickly pushed the score to 40–30 and never allowed the Bulls to recover.
