The PMGC 2025 season has reached one of its biggest moments, as the Gauntlet Stage has wrapped up and the first seven teams have officially secured their places in the Grand Finals. The opening elimination phase pushed every team to its limit, and only the squads that adjusted quickly, stayed steady under pressure, and made bold decisions throughout the matches managed to survive.

The Gauntlet was designed to be unforgiving. With only seven direct tickets to the Grand Finals, teams had no time to settle in. Strong rotations, sharp fights, and smart reading of the zones played a major role in deciding who stayed and who dropped to the next rounds. Now, the top-performing squads will prepare to travel to Bangkok this December, where they will fight for the PMGC 2025 world title.

The First 7 PMGC 2025 Grand Finalists

These teams stood out with their consistent finishes and smart gameplay during the Gauntlet:

  • R8 Esports
  • ThunderTalk Gaming
  • MadBulls
  • Kara Esports
  • Alpha7 Esports
  • ULF Esports
  • D’Xavier

Each of these teams qualified in their own way. R8 Esports looked confident on almost every map, showing calm decision-making even in tight circles. ThunderTalk Gaming impressed with their control in end-game situations. MadBulls and Kara Esports relied on strong rotations and taking early ground before others could reach it. Alpha7 used the experience of their veteran core to stay consistent from the start. Meanwhile, ULF Esports and D’Xavier showed dominant mid-game pressure, cleaning up fights quickly when it mattered the most.

Together, these seven teams have now earned a huge advantage: more time to prepare, review strategies, and adjust to the upcoming Grand Finals meta.

What These Gauntlet Results Mean

With only seven of the sixteen Grand Finals slots confirmed, the tournament now moves into its most intense chapters. The remaining nine positions will be decided through the Group Stage and Last Chance rounds. These stages will include region champions and top-performing squads from across the world, all aiming to join the finalists.

The teams that already qualified can now focus on strategy and study their future opponents. At the same time, their strong performances raise expectations for the next phases. Teams still in the race will need to rethink their approach, especially knowing that giants like Alpha7 and D’Xavier have already advanced.

Every match from here on becomes critical. One bad day can cost a team the entire tournament.
