UP Dominators produced a sensational comeback from a 4–1 deficit to defeat Delhi Dangal Warriors 5–4 in Match 7 of the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) 2026 at the Noida Indoor Stadium, sealing victory in a dramatic final bout to move to the top of the table.
Pro Wrestling League: UP Dominators vs Delhi Dangal Warriors
Delhi Dangal Warriors dominated the opening half of the tie, beginning with a strong showing in the 86kg men’s bout where Vafaeipour Hadi Bakhtiar used effective par terre control to defeat Mykhailov Vasyl 7–4. The lead was extended in the 76kg women’s category as Anastasiya Alpyeeva recovered from conceding an early takedown to overpower Ojo Damola Hannah 11–2 with decisive takedown-and-turn sequences.
Momentum stayed firmly with Delhi in the 74kg men’s contest, where Azerbaijan’s Turan Bayramov wrestled with discipline and patience to edge Abhimanyu Mandwal 3–0, pushing the Warriors to a commanding 3–0 lead.
UP Dominators finally opened their account through U-20 World Champion Tapsya Gahlawat in the 57kg women’s bout. Displaying composure and sharp counter-wrestling, Gahlawat secured an 8–2 victory to spark the comeback and was later named Player of the Match.
Delhi, however, responded emphatically in the 65kg men’s category as captain and U-23 World Champion Sujeet Kalkal delivered a dominant technical superiority win over Vishal Kali Raman, stretching Delhi’s advantage to 4–1.
The turning point came in the 57kg men’s bout, where Rahul Deswal overturned early pressure with a decisive takedown-and-exposure sequence before sealing an 8–5 win during the Power Minute. UP carried that momentum into the heavyweight contest, with Jaspooran Singh controlling the centre to defeat Ronak 3–1.

Under pressure, UP captain Nisha Dahiya rose to the occasion in the 62kg women’s bout, edging Anjli 9–5 in a high-intensity contest to level the tie at 4–4.
Panghal asserted control from the outset, scoring repeatedly with clean takedowns before closing the match early by technical superiority to complete UP Dominators’ remarkable comeback.
Alpyeeva was named Fighter of the Match for her dominant early performance.
