PSG secures signing of France forward Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona

Paris St-Germain (PSG) announces the acquisition of French forward Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona on a five-year contract. The talented player aims to contribute to PSG’s success and make their fans proud.

The five-year transfer of France striker Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona was revealed by Ligue 1 winners Paris St-Germain on Saturday.

Dembele transferred from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona in 2017, where he scored 40 goals in 185 games and captured three La Liga championships. the champion of the 2018 World Cup, who will don the number 23.

“I’m delighted to be joining Paris Saint-Germain and can’t wait to play for my new club. I hope I can continue to grow here and make all the club’s fans proud,” said Dembele in a media release issued by his new club.

The 26-year-old participated in the World Cup final in December, but a thigh injury forced him to miss the most of Barca’s championship-winning second half of the season. He has four goals in 37 France caps and is PSG’s eighth acquisition of the summer transfer window.

Dembele would be a “important and committed player” for the French team, according to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
