Although U Mumba tried to get back into the match, it was very hard for them to crack the defensive wall laid by Puneri Paltan. By the last quarter, the score line was 23-15 in favor of the Paltan, and U Mumba were finding it hard to find a way through the uncompromising defense.

U Mumba’s Fightback Falls Short

Rinku maintained U Mumba’s hopes alive with four tackles, while Sandeep Kumar supported defensively to ensure U Mumba remained in striking distance. Aslam Inamdar eventually earned his first point of the game from a bonus and supported this by adding a Super Tackle, bringing U Mumba into ten points.

Gurdeep of Puneri Paltan, however, was at his best, clocking his High Five, and this was followed by a masterful tackle by Gaurav Khatri that resulted in an ALL OUT against U Mumba.

With the match practically sealed, Super-sub Stuwart Singh provided the coup de grâce with a Super Raid, finishing the game to perfection for the Paltan. Singh finished the match as the top scorer for his team, and Puneri Paltan sailed to an easy 40-22 win.
