Rain Washes Away GT’s Hopes, Secures Top Spot for KKR in IPL 2024
The IPL 2024 witnessed a dramatic turn of events on Monday night as the highly anticipated clash between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was completely washed out due to persistent rain. This turn of fate had contrasting consequences for both teams. However, the washout served the interest of KKR in an ironic way as it gave them the upper-hand in the contested sales. To give them a point for the protested match, they were assured a top-two position in the league log. This means that when the team reaches the playoffs, it will have a direct entry into Qualifier 1, which will be an added bonus for the team.
