Real Madrid have lost €15m so far in just weeks
Real Madrid has lost around 15 million Euros so far, their 3 biggest fixture two with Liverpool and in between the fixture that is El Clasico combining all that would have had made a huge amount of money that is estimated around €15m by the Football Finance management side of Spain. It is one of the biggest losses that Real Madrid will have this year. And adding to that Liverpool side too suffered and many other Clubs around the world due to the ongoing pandemic situation.
They miss out on significant revenue compared to what they’d have made in normal times. But as of now, the season continues even UEFA, La Liga both the competition would have had made a lot of revenue for the side. As it would have helped them in the budget allocation but nonetheless Los Blancos have o bear it somehow and look for alternates as many big clubs have the same despite what they are trying to overcome.
Fixture with Liverpool would have brought in €10m at the box office, not including season ticket holders and the matchday experience of the Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blancos have not yet played the huge game at Valdebebas yet and many fixtures. Previously would have brought so many revenues for the club side like from the matchday of UEFA Champions League with Shaktar, Borussia Monchengladbach, and Atalanta don’t have the pull of the European elite, although they would have brought in about €3m each.
The El Clasico would have been a more economical pull given the larger percentage of season ticket holders, but it still would have been a vital boon. In reality, however, both games haven’t brought a penny. Watching football without fans may be beginning to seem normal, but the football clubs are having no shortage of financial headaches adapting to it as clubs are looking to other platforms to generate revenues.
