Real Madrid: Toni Kroos set to be fit for crunch UEFA Champions League semi-final against Chelsea

Boost for Real Madrid after 3 fixtures without the german midfielder Toni Kroos now he is likely to be back.

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos is likely to be back for the UEFA Champions League clash on Tuesday night, and one more English test, a showdown of two prominent sides Real Madrid and Chelsea. Real Madrid will welcome the Premier League high flyers to the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano for the first leg.

Toni Kroos trained on Sunday with his Real Madrid teammates. After a spell on the sidelines, the midfielder has missed three games and has been working out in the gym. While he showed in the Champions League quarter-finals against Liverpool, Kroos a key player for Zinedine Zidane and the mentor will want the midfielder to feature profoundly against a side like Chelsea.

However, Kroos has returned to training in the recovery session after the Betis draw and will now return to the squad against Thomas Tuchel’s visitors.

Zidane said: ‘The intention is that Mendy and Kroos return (for Chelsea), but we have to see.

‘We have to recover as Tuesday is going to be the most difficult of the season.’

Despite the positive news on Kroos, Mendy will not be there and also captain Sergio Ramos.  Federico Valverde and Lucas Vazquez likely to be out as injured. Although, Eden Hazard after a long injury period has made a recovery and would also play some minutes against Chelsea.
