Roman Reigns or Rusev? Who will become the real support for CM Punk and Sami Zayn against Rollins’ new faction?
CM Punk had won his dream moment at WrestleMania 41 when he entered the ring with Paul Heyman, but soon everything changed. During the Triple-Threat event, Heyman left him. At first it seemed that he was going to Roman Reigns’ camp, but immediately after that Heyman surprised everyone by aligning himself with Rollins.
In the next episode of Raw, both Punk and Reigns tried to reach out to Heyman, but a powerful twist came. Bron Breaker showed both of them the way and joined Seth Rollins’ new faction. Reigns has disappeared from WWE shows since then, while Punk started taking revenge by teaming up with Sami Zayn.
Bronson Reed made a comeback, and the Punk-Zayn challenge increased further
On May 24 at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Tampa, Punk-Zayn played a tag match against Rollins-Breakker. Everyone was expecting Heyman’s interference, but what happened surprised everyone. Bronson Reed, who was feuding with Rollins last year before getting injured, returned and attacked Punk. After this attack, Rollins officially welcomed him to his new faction.
Now Rollins has the backup of two powerhouses Breaker and Reed, while only Punk and Zayn are left. This difference in numbers is a matter of great concern for him.
Jey Uso’s situation is also not clear
Jey Uso has helped Punk and Zayn, but his focus is now in multiple places. On one hand, he will team up with Cody Rhodes to face John Cena and Logan Paul at Money in the Bank, and on the other hand, he will defend his World Heavyweight title against Gunther on Raw on June 9. In such a situation, it seems difficult for Punk-Zayn to get their full-time support.
Rusev or Sheamus? Expectations from both are less
Some fans are considering Rusev as a possible equalizer, but so far there is no strong signal that he will be a part of this team. Sheamus could also be an option, but in the recent Raw episode his angle was teased against Rusev, which means that he will be busy in his own separate storyline.
Roman Reigns’ return can be the biggest twist
The most logical and exciting option is Roman Reigns’ comeback. Even though he may have personal issues with CM Punk, Paul Heyman’s betrayal of him could bring him back. Reigns’ entire past and rivalry with Rollins is already quite intense, and if he faces Breaker, this storyline could become one of the biggest feuds of 2025.
For fans, this is not just a match, but a long-term, high-stakes battle, in which betrayal, revenge, and powerhouse collisions can all be seen.
