Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Chris Gayle and others extend Mother’s Day wishes

International Mother’s Day is a special occasion celebrated on the second Sunday of May every year. So this year it is celebrated on May 9th. On this special occasion, cricketing stars celebrated it by extending their wishes on social media.

Sachin shared pictures of himself with his mother and aunt with whom he spent four years while he was in school.

“Mothers are the ones who pray for you no matter how old you get. For them, you are always their child. Blessed to have two mothers in my life who have nurtured and loved me always,” Tendulkar wrote.

“Wishing Aai and Kaku a Very Happy Mother’s Day,” he added

Tendulkar mentioned how his aunt played an important role in indoor practice during school days through a video.

Hard-hitting India opener Virender Sehwag wrote an emotional poem in Hindi for his mother.

Former India All-rounder and Chennai Super Kings middle-order batsman, Suresh Raina shared pictures of his mother and wrote she has inspired him.

“Thank you mom for always being my pillar of strength & showing me the right guidance. You will remain my biggest inspiration! Wishing a very Happy #MothersDay to all the strong moms #LoveYouMa,” he wrote.

West Indies batting legend, The Universe Boss, Chris Gayle also took to social media to extend his wishes. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful Mom’s out there. Have a lovely day” he wrote.

Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan also took to social media to share photos of his mother and wrote, “My greatest teacher and my best friend – Happy Mother’s Day Ma.”
