SBC Confirms 2026 and 2027 Dates for Its Flagship Summit: SBC Events has confirmed the return of its flagship gathering, the SBC Summit, to Lisbon, locking in the dates for both 2026 and 2027. The global event, which recently drew an impressive 30,000 industry professionals, will once again take place at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and the MEO Arena.
The 2026 edition is scheduled for 29 September to 1 October, while the 2027 event will run slightly earlier, from 21 to 23 September.
SBC Summit: Consistency That Benefits the Industry
Having secured these dates back in 2023, SBC is staying true to its commitment to provide clarity and predictability for everyone in the industry. The company believes that giving partners plenty of time to plan ahead helps avoid scheduling conflicts and makes for a smoother event season overall.
“Clarity and predictability, at least when it comes to dates, are vital. Our partners deserve to plan ahead without uncertainty,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC. “By setting our dates well in advance, we ensured that everyone could organise their year efficiently and contributed to a well-balanced industry event calendar.”
A September Tradition Since 2015
SBC has been holding its major exhibition and conference in September since 2015, and it has become the go-to industry gathering after the European summer break. The timing offers the perfect opportunity for sales, networking, and strategic planning for the year ahead.
Sojmark noted that the 2026 dates will be slightly later than usual to avoid overlapping with major Jewish holidays in mid-September, but from 2027, the Summit will return to its usual schedule.
Lisbon’s Rise as the Global Stage
The move from Barcelona to Lisbon marked a major milestone for the event. Rebranded as the SBC Summit to reflect its international scope, it has grown rapidly and gained recognition across the gaming and betting sectors.
That growth is backed by numbers: the 2025 edition saw 76.6% first-time attendees and 57.5% new companies, solidifying the Summit’s position as one of the most important dates in the global gaming calendar.
Putting the Industry First
“Our focus has always been on serving the industry, not competing with it,” Sojmark added. “Consistency in scheduling reflects that mindset. When organisers align around a clear, predictable calendar, everyone benefits, from exhibitors and sponsors to delegates who can make the most of every event they wish to attend.”
Looking ahead, the 2026 Summit is expected to welcome around 35,000 professionals from the worlds of betting, gaming, payments, marketing, and technology.
“The Greatest Show in Gaming has a lot in store. Stay tuned,” said Sojmark.
With its clear vision and commitment to the industry, SBC continues to strengthen its place as one of the most anticipated events on the global gaming calendar.
