SBC Summit Canada: SBC is entering a new phase for its Canadian conference with the launch of SBC Summit Canada, the updated name for the long-established Canadian Gaming Summit. The rebrand signals a fresh approach while continuing the event’s strong focus on Canada’s gaming industry. The summit will run from 19 to 21 May 2026.

The new identity aligns the Canadian event more closely with SBC’s global conference lineup, positioning it as a central platform for discussions around regulation, market development, and commercial strategy across the country.

SBC Summit Canada: New Timing Designed for a Busier Year

The move from June to May is a practical one. With Canada hosting matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the new dates help avoid calendar clashes and industry strain. This change gives the wider gaming ecosystem the space to engage fully with the event.

SBC Summit Canada: A Strong Legacy Meets Global Scale

For nearly three decades, the Canadian Gaming Summit has delivered deep insight into the local market, offering clarity on regulation, emerging opportunities, and industry standards. As SBC Summit Canada, the event builds on that foundation while adding the scale, reach, and international expertise that comes with the SBC brand.

SBC Summit Canada: A Major Gathering for Industry Leaders

In 2026, the summit is expected to bring together 3,000 senior decision-makers from Canada’s retail gaming, online casino, sports betting, and iGaming sectors. Across three days, attendees will experience over 120 speakers, a 50,000+ square foot exhibition, and premium hospitality aimed at creating meaningful connections.

“Through SBC Summit Canada, we are reaffirming our long-term commitment to the Canadian market with a refreshed event designed to better serve the needs of our stakeholders and keep the focus firmly on driving meaningful business opportunities for our delegates,” said SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark.

“2026 promises to be a defining year for Canada’s gaming industry. With Alberta’s regulation approaching, iGaming continuing to grow in both popularity and profitability, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup set to be hosted in Canada, now is the ideal time to bring the industry together under the SBC Summit Canada banner, a platform built to reflect both the scale of opportunity ahead and the maturity of the market.”

An Exhibition Floor Built for Business

At the centre of the event will be a vibrant exhibition floor featuring more than 75 exhibitors and sponsors. Leading suppliers, operators, and service providers will be on hand, including confirmed names such as Altenar, Gigadat, MNP, MOBINC, Optimove, Paramount Commerce, and others.

A Conference Programme Shaped by the Market

The summit’s conference agenda will be spread across three stages, each reflecting the biggest challenges and opportunities facing Canada’s gaming sector in 2026. Over two days, sessions will tackle leadership strategy, sports betting and casino operations, affiliate and advertising models, cybersecurity, land-based and lottery gaming, player protection, and payments and compliance.

Canada’s Top Executives Take the Stage

Attendees will hear directly from senior leaders across the industry, including Tolek Strukoff from Gateway Casinos and Entertainment, Joseph Hillier from iGaming Ontario, Paul Burns from the Canadian Gaming Association, Mark Harper of Rhino Entertainment, Tom Metzger of Lotto.com, and Scott Vanderwel of PointsBet Canada.

Key discussions will focus on Alberta’s evolving regulatory framework, how operators can benefit from the attention surrounding the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and the future role of sports betting within Canada’s largely iGaming-driven market.

Tackling Advertising, Innovation, and Compliance

The agenda will also address tightening advertising standards, the rising influence of affiliates and social media, and how regulators are approaching newer products like sweepstakes and prediction markets. Strengthening cooperation between operators and regulators will be a major theme, especially around player protection, cybersecurity, and compliance.

Networking Experiences with a Social Touch

SBC’s emphasis on standout hospitality continues with two evening networking events. The SBC Summit Canada Opening Party at RS Sports Bar in Toronto will give delegates a relaxed start, with badge collection and casual networking. The SBC Summit Canada Official Networking Party will offer another high-level setting for conversations beyond the show floor.

Part of SBC’s Worldwide Event Network

With its new positioning, SBC Summit Canada becomes a key part of SBC’s global event series. This includes SBC Summit Rio from 3 to 5 March 2026, SBC Summit Malta from 28 to 30 April, SBC Summit Americas from 9 to 11 June, and the flagship SBC Summit in Lisbon from 29 September to 1 October.
