Seth Rollins Shares His All-Time Favorite WWE Opponents
Seth Rollins names his favorite WWE opponents, including Dean Ambrose, John Cena, and Brock Lesnar, discussing their chemistry and memorable matches on The Pivot Podcast.
Seth Rollins recently talked about his favorite WWE opponents on The Pivot Podcast, which is hosted by former NFL players Channing Crowder, Fred Taylor, and Ryan Clark. Rollins, also known as “The Visionary,” is currently in a heated rivalry with Bronson Reed. The two wrestlers faced off at Crown Jewel 2024, where Rollins won. However, Reed was not ready to let it go and got back at Rollins during an episode of Raw on November 4th, costing Rollins a big opportunity.
Rollins was competing in a four-way match against Sheamus, Damian Priest, and Dominik Mysterio to become the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Just when things were getting intense, Reed interfered, ruining Rollins’ chances and attacking him by slamming him through the announce table.
Seth Rollins Names His Favorite Opponents
Rollins has been in WWE for many years, fighting both new and legendary wrestlers. He has been a part of many memorable matches and rivalries, and during the podcast, he opened up about some of his all-time favorite opponents.
One of the first names he mentioned was Dean Ambrose, who is now known as Jon Moxley. Dean Ambrose was Rollins’ partner when they were part of The Shield, a popular WWE group. Rollins explained that after The Shield broke up, he and Ambrose had many great matches together. They worked well because they were very different in the ring—Rollins was fast and flashy, while Ambrose was rough and wild. Rollins even compared Ambrose to WWE legend Roddy Piper and himself to Shawn Michaels, highlighting how their contrasting styles made their matches exciting.
The second name Rollins mentioned was John Cena, one of WWE’s biggest stars. Rollins shared that he and Cena had a great connection in the ring after wrestling together for several months. They became so familiar with each other’s moves that they could almost predict what the other was going to do without speaking. Rollins said he learned a lot from John Cena, both as a wrestler and as a performer, making their time together very special for him.
Finally, Rollins talked about his experience wrestling Brock Lesnar. Lesnar is known for being a powerful and intimidating wrestler. Rollins described him as someone who approaches wrestling with a simple but smart strategy. Even though Rollins thinks about many different things during a match, Lesnar’s straightforward style creates a unique dynamic. The combination of their different approaches often led to magical moments in the ring, making Lesnar one of Rollins’ most interesting opponents.
Throughout his long WWE career, Seth Rollins has faced some of the biggest names in wrestling, and these three—Dean Ambrose, John Cena, and Brock Lesnar—stand out as his favorite and most memorable opponents.
