Mishara played the standout innings of the night, hammering 76 off 48 balls as Sri Lanka charged to a competitive 184, thanks to continued momentum even after field restrictions were eased.

Pakistan’s Chase Falters After Chameera’s Explosive Opening Burst

The SL vs PAK chase had started off on a promising note with Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan providing Pakistan with a sound platform. Chameera soon turned things around. In an electric spell, he removed Farhan, Babar Azam-for his second duck in four innings-and Fakhar Zaman-all in ten balls. The figures for Chameera at the end of this devastating over read 2-0-3-3, with Pakistan reeling at 43 for 4.

Salman Ali Agha’s Lone Resistance Keeps Pakistan Alive

Captain of Pakistan, Salman Ali Agha, produced his best performance of the T20 format this year. Although he started slowly he figured things out quickly as he adjusted to the pitch, made excellent use of the spin bowlers, and settled into an easy process that led him to fifty runs.

His partnership with Usman Khan where they combined to score 56 runs in partnership, was key to Pakistan getting to the point of being in contention.

The strategy of limiting Salman’s opportunity for runs in the final overs was key in this game. Although Salman played an incredible innings and was not out at the end of his innings, he only faced 5 balls in total in the last three overs, which ultimately disabled any chance of a successful run chase for Pakistan.

Chameera Closes the Door in Final Over Drama as The match hung in the balance, with the hosts having momentum and Pakistan requiring just 10 off the final over after a Nawaz six over cover.

Chameera came out on top, with him deploying a mix of crafty cutters and three pinpoint yorkers to take the wickets of Faheem Ashraf without giving up any boundaries. With his stable finish, Chameera capped an amazing performance with a celebration in the win of SL vs PAK during the tense moments at the end of the match.
