The Super Cup 2025 football tournament is set to kick-off in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on Sunday, April 20. All matches will be held at the Kalinga Stadium.
As many as 15 teams are featuring in the tournament with 13 clubs from the Indian Super League (ISL) and three from the I-League – the second tier of football in the country.
The ISL teams have been seeded for the round of 16 on the basis of their final league positions in the 2024-25 season. Meanwhile, the three I-League clubs – Churchill Brothers, Gokulam Kerala and Inter Kashi – had originally qualified for the Super Cup this year.

I-League teams: Inter Kashi, Gokulam Kerala
The Churchill Brothers, who were scheduled to face Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the pre-quarterfinals, withdrew from the competition and handed the ISL champions a bye.
Unlike the previous two editions of the Super Cup where teams competed in group games before playing elimination matches, the upcoming edition of the tournament will follow a straight knockout format.
The event is significant the Super Cup 2025 champions will earn a spot in the 2025–26 AFC Champions League 2 (ACL2) playoffs.
Defending champions East Bengal will take on Kerala Blasters in the first match of Super Cup 2025.
