T20 World Cup 2024: Legends React to India’s Win

India made it to the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 by defeating England by 68 runs in the semi-final round. The Indian side is now aiming to win the prestigious ICC trophy by beating South Africa in the final showdown on June 29th.

 

The Men in Blue have been receiving praise from all corners for their brilliant performances throughout the tournament. Many former cricketers and legends of the game have also joined the bandwagon and have praised the Indian team for their strong performance.

Talking about the semi-final, India batted first and scored 171/7, thanks to Rohit Sharma’s impressive innings of 57 runs from 39 balls. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets each, while Jasprit Bumrah contributed with two wickets to dismiss England for just 103 runs.

 

The pitch slowed down later in the game, which helped both teams’ spinners control the batsmen. This victory means a lot to India, as they have a chance to break their drought of ICC trophies.

After the victory, many former cricketers reacted on X (Twitter). They congratulated Team India and Rohit Sharma for the win and their place in the T20 World Cup 2024 final.

Harbhajan Singh said, Congratulations team India, for getting into the finals of T20 World Cup and praised Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya and also praised Axar Patal, Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah for their excellent performances.
