IPL is known for high-scoring matches, with batters showcasing their aggressive batting approach. Royal Challengers Bengaluru hold the record for the lowest team total in IPL history, bundled out for just 49 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2017.
This remains the only instance in IPL history of a team failing to cross the 50-run mark in a completed innings. It stands as a stark contrast to the league’s reputation for explosive batting and high totals, highlighting how even star-studded lineups can crumble under pressure.
