In a captivating clash at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, propelled by Enzo Fernandez’s impressive brace. This win marked Chelsea’s first triumph over Brighton in their last six encounters, elevating them to the 10th position in the Premier League with 19 points, just three behind eighth-placed Brighton.

The opening goal materialized in the 17th minute when Fernandez capitalized on a defensive lapse by Brighton. Benoit Badiashile’s clever play from a corner set up Fernandez for a precise header past Steele, giving Chelsea an early lead. The home side doubled their advantage as Nicolas Jackson’s header found Colwill, who secured his maiden Chelsea goal.

Brighton, however, responded emphatically in the 43rd minute, with Buonanotte’s brilliant strike narrowing the deficit. The momentum shifted further as Chelsea’s captain, Conor Gallagher, received a red card on the stroke of half-time, providing Brighton with a numerical advantage.
