But at this moment, the signs do not point toward a return. Several things suggest that The Brahma Bull may stay away from WWE for a while longer.
Here are a few simple reasons why his comeback does not seem to be part of the current plans.
No clear creative direction
Right now, there is no strong hint that WWE is building a story for The Rock. The company usually drops small teases or starts a rivalry before bringing back a major star. That has not happened in this case.
WWE is also focusing more on full-time wrestlers. Big names who appear only part-time have already been missing from weekly shows. Bringing The Rock back without a long-term plan could lead to the same problem, which may be why his name is not being pushed on TV.
No story to explain his long absence
The Rock played a huge role in a major twist that involved John Cena. He was shown as the brain behind the change, but then he disappeared during Cena’s farewell run.
If The Rock returns now, WWE would need to explain why he stayed away for so long. At the moment, there is no strong storyline ready to answer that question. Without a solid reason, his return might feel rushed or confusing to fans.

The Final Boss character was very strong around WrestleMania 41. But since then, the energy around that story has faded.

Busy Hollywood schedule
The biggest reason is still his work outside wrestling. The Rock is deeply involved in movies, production projects, and promotions.
These commitments take up most of his time, especially during the early part of the year. With such a packed schedule, finding space for regular WWE appearances becomes very hard.
