While old-school streamers like Turner “Tfue” Tenney and Tyler “Ninja” Blevins are still going strong, a number of new content creators have made a name for themselves in recent years. This includes female streamers like Pokimane, who has effectively become the most popular female creator of all time in the last year.
5 streamers who made millions from live streaming
1) Ninja
Ninja deserves to be on this list because he is one of the platform’s oldest and most popular Twitch streamers. He was one of the first Fortnite content creators to amass some fortune and launch an entire era of Twitch streaming. He has received numerous brand sponsorships over the years and is one of the most well-known Fortnite icons.
The streamer is frequently cited as one of the reasons Fortnite took off so quickly after its release in 2017. Ninja currently has nearly 17 million Twitch followers. In April 2018, the streamer had nearly 270k followers on his Twitch platform. Despite his complicated Twitch history, he has emerged as the most recognisable streamer in the last decade.
2) Pokimane
Imane “Pokimane” Anys, another “OG” star, is widely regarded as one of the most influential female content creators of all time. She was one of the first female streamers to gain recognition for her work in League of Legends and Fortnite.
Pokimane is frequently cited by her female peers as one of the most influential internet personalities who paved the way for other women to achieve success in the industry. Pokimane currently has over 8 million Twitch followers and is credited with helping to popularise Just Chatting streams on the platform in recent years.
3) Adin Ross
According to American YouTubers Ludwig Ahgren and Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris, Ross is only famous for kissing Corinna Kopf on live stream. In reality, the streamer’s overall following on both YouTube and Twitch has increased dramatically since Kopf first appeared on his live stream in January 2021.
Adin Ross began the year with less than 50k followers on Instagram and has since grown to around 4.5 million. He has over 64k subscribers and is a regular feature on the list of the most “subscribed” content creators on the platform. Ross currently has nearly 37k subscribers, making him the platform’s sixth most subscribed creator.
4) Ludwig Ahgren
Ludwig Ahgren is a former Super Smash Bros. pro who has made a name for himself on Twitch in recent years. Apart from his gaming abilities, the streamer is known for his witty personality, and he is in a relationship with fellow creator Blaire “QTCinderella,” who frequently appears in his content.
In March 2021, Ludwig hosted a “subathon event” with a “never-ending” stream that lasted 31 days. The event resulted in the streamer breaking the record for the most Twitch subscribers ever recorded, with over 283k concurrent subscriptions. Since then, the streamer has become a regular feature at the top of the platform, with over 30k subscribers.
5) xQc
Felix “xQc” Lengyel is well-known as a notorious Twitch streamer. The streamer was frequently involved in controversies throughout his Overwatch career, and he and Dallas Fuel mutually decided to leave the organisation in March 2018. This was in response to allegations of racist remarks, as well as multiple fines and suspensions.
Following a series of violations, the streamer was suspended from Twitch three times and permanently banned from NoPixel’s GTA RP server. Regardless, xQc is one of the funniest streamers on the platform, with 6.01 million followers. xQc is also the most popular streamer on Twitch, with over 65k followers.
