Top Competitions on Lawn Bowls on the International Stage in 2023
The lawn bowls as a sport gained a high amount of popularity on the international stage because of the events in 2022. Know about the events in 2023.

The sport of Lawn Bowls has gained significant popularity due to its successful staging in the last Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England. There were 24 World Bowls Commonwealth Games members present at the event. The event showcased a strength of over 227 athletes in this category out of which 109 were women and 118 were men. The sport showcases that there are no discriminations against any one category of individuals or any restrictions on who can participate in the sport and who cannot. Athletes from all backgrounds were invited.
In 2023, it is estimated that the Sport will take a more global face with some leading World Championships being organized in different parts of the world. There will also be indoor bowls competitions that are further expected to give popularity and appreciation to the Bowls as a sport and a better recognition.

- 20th – 26th February – 14th Asia Lawn Bowls Championships & Asia Under 25 Lawn Bowls Championships, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
- 14th – 20th April – World Bowls Indoor Championships, Warilla Bowls Club, Australia
- 29th August – 10th September – World Championships, Gold Coast, Australia
- 1st – 14th September – 9th International Deaf Bowls, Colinton BC, Edinburgh, Scotland
- 18th – 23rd November – World Singles Champion of Champions – scheduled for Naenae B.C., Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand
- 1st – 12th December – Atlantic Senior Fours, Athena Beach Hotel, Paphos, Cyprus
Lawn Bowls tournaments and leagues are available for athletes from all age groups, background and even disabilities. There are not only national and international events being organized but also state level events being held to promote the ideas of Lawn Bowls and this particular sport. There are World Indoor Bowls Championships also being organized that are designed to promote the idea of the sport in different forms and make people more aware of the fun and enjoyment it can offer along with the typical athletic feel.
