It was a setback in the start, however, U Mumba came back. Sandeep’s Super Raid reduced the gap to 7-10, and the fight for mastery over the match intensified. At the half-time Strategic Time Out, Haryana Steelers held a strong 8-13 lead, demonstrating their skills in both attack and defense.

The second half witnessed a resistance of strength by U Mumba. They opened the door with a successful tackle by Vijay Kumar, and then Jaideep did another tackle that maintained Haryana’s momentum. Both teams exchanged points aggressively, but the Steelers regained the hold with a Super Tackle that pushed their lead to 12-18.
Nevertheless, U Mumba was also determined not to lose ground. The raid led by Ajit Chouhan turned out to be a success and U Mumba secured an ALL OUT inflicting triple the amount of points (5) and therefore reducing their disadvantage to 17-19.

The closing minutes were dramatic indeed. U Mumba rallied during the interval, Parvesh Bhainswal’s tackle giving them a point to reduce the deficit to 26-28. Rahul’s tackle gave momentum back to the Steelers, but U Mumba responded in force. Sandeep’s Super Raid put U Mumba ahead by 31-30 points, which was followed by an ALL OUT that put them further ahead at 34-31.
The Haryana Steelers, with less than a minute on the clock, brought the score to 37-37 with a successful tackle from Sahil Narwal and a raid by Mayank Saini, thus necessitating a tie-breaker for the match.
Tie-Breaker Drama: U Mumba Holds Nerve to Win
In the tie-breaker, Haryana Steelers took the lead with their initial attempt in the shootout. U Mumba quickly countered with a successful raid, which brought the score to 1-1. The Steelers managed to get in front again but U Mumba fought back, again making it 3-3 on the scoreboard.
In the last seconds of the tie-breaker, U Mumba’s defence rallied, making a stunning tackle to take the lead 4-3. That was to be the turning point, as U Mumba maintained their cool and clinched a solid 7-4 tie-breaker win.
