U19 WC 2025 Team: Four Indian Players Make The Cut

India beat South Africa in the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 on February 2, 2025. The Team of the Tournament has been announced recently by the International Cricket Council (ICC), and as expected, four Indian players have made the cut. The tournament was introduced in 2023, making this year’s edition the second one. 16 teams compete in the league for the title, and India has won both of them.
Highest score by a team, Top score by an individual and Best bowling figures by an individual, all the records are held by Team India.
Gongadi Trisha, the Player of the Tournament, is at the top of the order with the most runs and also created history by scoring the first-ever century in the history of the Women’s U19 T20 World Cup. She is joined by Gunalan Kamalini as an opener.
The rest of the batters include South Africa’s Jemma Botha, England’s Davina Perrin, and Australia’s Caoimhe Bray, all of whom score more than 100 runs. Trisha is joined by India’s spinner Vaishnavi Sharma and Aayushi Shukla. The team is completed by Sri Lanka bowler Chamodi Praboda, Nepal’s skipper and all-rounder Puja Mahato and wicket-keeper Katie Jones. Kayla Reyneke was named the captain after taking 11 wickets.
