Barcelona and Inter Milan put up a show for the fans and once again proved Champions league nights hit different.
It was expected to be a cracker of a match but it was even more epic that one would have imagined. The fast nature of the game was uncharacteristic of Inter but Barca made the game so chaotic that Inter Milan had to play along.

Inter Milan came with an absolute plan to start the game at 100 miles per hour, Inzaghi would have studied Atletico Madrid’s strategy to play against Barcelona. They could not have asked for a better start as Marcus Thuram scored the fastest goal of the UEFA Champions league semi-final when he flicked a backheel from a Dumfries cross at the 30 second mark.

The mood was set by Thuram but Dumfries was on another level as he scored in the 21st minute with an acrobatic finish from a corner-kick.

This got the blood running in the Barcelona camp and it did not take much time for them to get up and retaliate. The sheer brilliance of Lamine Yamal continues to amaze, and yet another occasion of his magic was on display in the 24th minute.
Weaving through the opposite defence, he had them caught in 2 minds but his own focused on the comeback.

He sniffed the space in the box and arrived with a swagger that was unstoppable. He brought Barca back into the game and it looked like Barca are back again.

After it was Barca traffic as they started building up and attacking continuously but Inter was disciplined in their defence.
Until the 38th minute when Lamine again producing magic from the right wing produced a speculative ball which was headed in beautifully by Raphinha in the path of Ferran Torres.
The score was again brought to parity at 2-2
The second half saw Inter sitting a little deep and letting Barca play but pounced again in the 63rd minute with another Dumfries goal. Another goal from the wing back from a corner. He brought Inter back into the lead. But again Barca equalised in a short period of time. Just after 2 minutes Raphinha launched a bullet from outside the box.
Sommer would be fuming about it but the ball bounced back from the post and hit him before going in. The goal was also counted as an own goal for Sommer. The game became a bit mellow as both sets of players were tired and it looked like it was running on extra time .
The match ended in a 3-3 draw
The latter part saw some good chances for Barca and Inter but they could not add up any more goals to this goals fest.
The match ended in a 3-3 draw and will be decided next week at the San Siro.
Denzel Dumfries was awarded the Man of the match for his 2 goals and 1 assist from the wing back position.
