There were some shocking results in the UEFA Nations League this week and on Saturday there was another. England faced a shocking 1-0 defeat against Hungary’s national football team. Fans wouldn’t have expected this result as England were the runner-ups in Euro 2020 last year.

England had a bad day at the office as they created so many chances but couldn’t find a net a single time. They also lost a game against Italy in the finals of Euro 2020 in penalties. The first half sees no goal but both the team had enough chances to score.

As soon as the second half started England was on the front foot and was in complete possession. But whenever England used to give away the ball, Hungary took full advantage and created a chance. Hungary got the penalty in the 65th minute when Chelsea right-back Reece James made a bad challenge in the penalty box. Dominik Szoboszlai took the penalty and scored. It was the only goal scored in the game though England had some best chances to seal the game but they couldn’t.

The game was pretty equal from both sides as the stats says it all, England took 12 shots whereas underdogs Hungary took 11 shots on goal and they had more shots (6) on target than England (4).
