Updated IPL 2026 Orange Cap And Purple Cap List: The Lucknow Super Giants had a fantastic start to the match by utilising the new ball. Mohammed Shami and Mohsin Khan were able to provide pressure early on from the outset.

Mohsin was able to take the first wicket of the match, after getting rid of Tim Seifert, when he was out for a duck and then followed this by dismissing Ajinkya Rahane for 10 runs, which put the KKR team behind the eight ball.

The next major talking point in this match came in the form of Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who was given out after a controversial decision for obstructing fielding.

The on-field umpire had originally given Raghuvanshi out but upon appeal from the KKR team, the third umpire determined the call on the grounds that Raghuvanshi had altered his running line when attempting to take a second run; to the shock of those present at the match KKR and the commentators.

The collapse persisted as Mohsin dismissed Rovman Powell as well. For a brief period, Cameron Green and Rinku Singh put together a partnership before Cameron Green got out for 34. On the very next ball Anukul Roy was bowled for a golden duck allowing Mohsin to get his first 5-wicket haul in IPL history.

IPL 2026 Purple cap List Update

Rinku Singh kept getting wickets out at a consistent rate but attached himself to the non-striker for the entirety of the innings. He sensationally remained unbeaten on a mammoth score of 83* including 4 sixes consecutive to finish off the innings off of Digvesh Rathi for KKR at an ending total of 155/7.

LSG started their chase in a shaky manner with Mitchell Marsh dismissed early on by Vaibhav Arora who was caught by Powell in a great catch! Rishabh Pant and Aiden Markram steadied their innings during the partnership before Markram was out for 31 runs.

Rishabh Pant was looking good until he was bowled out by Sunil Narine at 42 runs and then this left LSG 78 for 3. The LSG middle order then failed to build on the innings, when Nicholas Pooran fell cheaply for nine runs followed by Mukul Choudhary out for just one run, leading to a second collapse for the team.
