Former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram has revealed his favorite player in the current Indian cricket team. The former bowler likes Suryakumar Yadav a lot as per his latest statement. He feels Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul are there in the team and are favourite of many fans, but his favorite player is Suryakumar Yadav.
Suryakumar Yadav is having a great time in the Indian jersey as he has been phenomenal since he has got back into the team after his injury. Suryakumar Yadav was injured in the IPL and couldn’t play much games there but coming back from his injury, he has been brilliant.
“Of course, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli are there, but one of my favourite players these days, in this shorter format is Suryakumar Yadav. He has been phenomenal. I saw him the first year when he joined the Kolkata Knight Riders and he played a couple of games batting at No. 7 and 8. And a couple of shots he played,” Wasim Akram said in a press conference via Star Sports.
Suryakumar Yadav will be seen playing in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 which is starting from 27 of this month.
