Get Hands-On with Web 3.0 and Blockchain at SBC Summit 2025: Delegates heading to SBC Summit 2025 are in for a real treat when it comes to learning about Web 3.0 and blockchain. A brand-new academy focused on decentralized tech will give attendees hands-on experience, with practical workshops, panel talks, and even a live session with marketing legend Gary Vaynerchuk.

This academy is one part of SBC’s new Tech Academies programme – a series of interactive learning tracks designed to help people build real-world skills in four big areas: AI, marketing, Web 3.0 & blockchain, and gamification.

A Full Day of Expert Insights, Live Demos, and Real-World Skills at SBC Summit 2025

On Wednesday, 17 September, the spotlight will be on the Web 3.0 & Blockchain Academy. It’s a full day bringing together Web3 founders, tech experts, blockchain developers, compliance pros, and business leaders. Through a mix of panels, workshops, and Q&A sessions, delegates will explore how these technologies are being created and used, and what they could mean for the future of the industry.

Talking about the academy, SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark shared:

“What excites me about Web 3.0 and blockchain is how they let people take back control of things that really matter: data, identity, even finances. Instead of relying on centralised platforms, users are starting to own these themselves. That shift is something every business needs to understand, because it will reshape how our industry works.”

The academy kicks off with a panel called ‘Web 3.0 & Blockchain in Context’, which sets the tone for the rest of the day. Speakers Borget Sebastien (Co-Founder & COO, The Sandbox), Jordi Baylina (Founder, ZisK), and moderator Eddie Marques (CEO & Founder, Web3 District) will dive into the history and potential of Web 3.0 and blockchain – and how they could transform not just business, but society as a whole.

After that, things get interactive with a live Ask Me Anything session with Gary Vaynerchuk. Titled ‘NFTs, Crypto & Blockchain: Beyond The Buzz – What Actually Matters AMA’, this session will cut through the hype. Gary will address common myths around NFTs, crypto, and esports, and explain where these tools really add value – and how businesses can use them to grow and connect with their audiences.

Fast-Paced Workshops That Tackle Big Topics

Once the crowd had a chance to network and grab a coffee, the academy moved into a series of quick, 20-minute workshops that focus on real-world applications of blockchain and Web3 – covering things like contract automation, compliance, and data protection.

One of the stand-out sessions is ‘The Ultimate Digital You – Control Your ID, IP & Data Like a Boss’, hosted by Ingo Ruebe (CEO, KILT Protocol). This workshop will take a close look at how blockchain helps users verify identity without giving away too much info, and how Web3 tools are helping people secure their data and intellectual property.

Next is ‘Real Money = Real Traffic. No Bots Allowed’, led by Ahmed Al Balaghi, CEO of Biconomy. This one’s all about driving real, long-term growth. With bots and fake traffic becoming a huge problem, Al Balaghi will show how blockchain, AI, and gamification can help businesses weed out fake users, reward genuine ones, and build stronger communities.

Another big highlight is ‘Really Smart Contracts: On-Chain Bureaucracy, Upgraded’, led by Jason Meyers (Lead Architect & Founder, AuditChain). He’ll explain how smart contracts are changing the way legal agreements work by turning them into self-executing code, streamlining payments, deliveries, and cutting down on inefficiencies.

There’ll also be more workshops throughout the day that explore how Web3 and blockchain are being used with AI, automation, crypto payments, and staying on the right side of regulations. Delegates can catch live demos of no-code AI tools, see how automated payments work in action, and hear directly from founders about what it’s like to launch a startup powered by crypto.

The Web 3.0 & Blockchain Academy is part of the wider SBC Summit 2025, taking place from 16-18 September at Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena. The event will also feature a massive exhibition space (135,000 square meters!), six themed conference tracks, the Affiliate Leaders Summit, the Payment Expert Summit, and loads of networking opportunities.

Access to the Tech Academies is only available to Expo+ and VIP Event Pass holders.
