At 49 years old, Floyd Mayweather is proving age is just a number, and 2026 might go down as one of the most active and talked-about years of his long career. After nearly a decade largely filled with exhibition events, Mayweather has charted a unique path back to the spotlight with a series of fights that blend nostalgia, spectacle, and competitive boxing.
Fans around the world are watching closely as plans take shape for a trio of marquee events that could redefine how modern boxing icons close out their careers. That said, let’s take a look at his upcoming schedule.
Who will Floyd Mayweather fight?
The first major event on Mayweather’s 2026 schedule is a highly anticipated exhibition clash against another all-time great, Mike Tyson, set for April 2026 in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Dubbed “Legend vs. Legend,” this fight is being marketed not just as a bout but as a celebration of boxing history, taking place in the same region where Muhammad Ali famously fought George Foreman in the 1974 Rumble in the Jungle.

In an unconventional twist, Tyson has said the fight will have no weight limit, meaning the two fighters who fought in very different weight divisions during their primes will meet at a catchweight. The event will consist of eight rounds of two minutes each, and both fighters are expected to wear heavier gloves to account for the size difference. Tyson has also acknowledged a minor hand injury sustained in training, but has insisted he’ll compete, even suggesting this could be his final ring appearance.
After the Tyson showcase, Mayweather is scheduled to face Greek kickboxing legend Mike Zambidis in an exhibition bout in Athens, Greece, this June. The year’s centerpiece and by far the most significant from a competitive standpoint comes on September 19, 2026, when Mayweather will step back into professional boxing for a sanctioned rematch against Manny Pacquiao at The Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This bout marks one of the most anticipated rematches in modern boxing and gives Pacquiao a chance to challenge Mayweather’s long-standing undefeated legacy.
