Every cricket team aspires to score as many runs as possible in the number of overs allotted to them. 1. BBL 2015: Melbourne Renegades vs. Melbourne Stars (57* all out)

It was initially the Melbourne Renegades who had both the lowest BBL totals. And the lowest was in the 2015 season against the Melbourne Stars (Docklands). The Renegades won the toss and chose to bat first. The Stars batted first and reached a reputable total of 169/6 in 20 overs. The Renegades, but at the other hand, were indeed a batting disaster. Tom Cooper had the highest score of 10 runs, which no other batter could match. They were bowled out for 57 runs in 12.4 overs, losing by 112 runs.

2. Melbourne Renegades V/S Sydney Sixers in BBL 2020 (60* all out) 

The Melbourne Renegades are the next team on the list, with the second lowest BBL total. It occurred against the Sydney Sixes in Hobart during the 2020-21 season. Sydney batted first and scored a humongous 205/4 in 20 overs. Josh Philippe hit 95 runs off 57 balls, while Jordan Silk hit 45* off 19. Melbourne’s response was a poor batting performance. The entire squad was brushed aside for 60 runs in 10.4 overs, resulting in a 145-run defeat.

3. Melbourne Stars V/S Sydney Sixers in BBL 2021 (61* all out)

The Melbourne Stars finished third in the BBL standings. It occurred during a 2021 season game against the Sydney Sixers. Sydney managed to reach a large total of 213/4 in 20 overs in the first innings. Josh Philippe (83 off 47) and Moises Henriques (76* off 28) were the top scorers. Melbourne was unable to keep the momentum going in response to a powerful chase, and they continued to lose wickets. As a result, they were dismissed for 61 runs in 11.1 overs, losing by 152 runs.

4. Adelaide Strikers V/S Melbourne Stars in BBL 2021 (68* all out)

The Adelaide Strikers will be next on the list, with the fourth lowest BBL total. It also happened against the Melbourne Stars in the 2021 season. Melbourne batted first and completed the 20-over game with a competitive total of 179/2. Andre Fletcher finished with 89 points on 49 attempts. Adelaide’s response was to lose its first two wickets for only eight runs. However, they then gave up their next eight wickets for only 24 runs. They were bowled out for 68 runs in 14.2 overs from 2/44, losing by 111 runs.

5. Perth Scorchers V/S Melbourne Stars in BBL 2012 (69* all out)

The Perth Scorchers had the sixth lowest BBL aggregate in history in 2012, when they faced the Melbourne Stars. Melbourne won the toss and chose to bowl first, while Perth struggled with the bat. They were bowled out for 69 runs in 15.2 overs after losing their first four wickets for 16 runs. Lasith Malinga caused all of the damage with a figure of 6/7 in four overs. Melbourne responded by reaching 29/0 in two overs before rain disrupted play, and they were awarded the match via the D/L method.
