WI v Ind: These two Indian bowlers record most wickets in ODI series

Indian cricket team defeated West Indies in the third ODI to clean sweep the hosts.

Indian cricket team whitewashed West Indies in the ODI series. India defeated West Indies in the third ODI at Queen’s Park Oval cricket ground on Wednesday night. Shikhar Dhawan became the first Indian captain to whitewash West Indies in their home.

This was one of the best performances from the Indian team though there weren’t much experienced players included in the squad for this series. Indian cricket team’s bowling performance was also noticeable. Indian star spin bowler named Yuzvendra Chahal and pacer Shardul Thakur recorded most wickets in this three-match ODI series. Both have taken 7 wickets in this series. Shardul had the best economy rate than Yuzvendra Chahal and thus can be named the best bowler in this series.

There is another bowler who made a great impact in the ODIs after Test cricket named Mohammad Siraj. Siraj was picked up by the selectors for this series as Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami weren’t involved. Siraj took 4 wickets in these 3 matches.

On the other hand, Shubman Gill recorded the most runs in this ODI series, as the batter made two half-centuries in these three matches. Indian cricket team will now be playing 5 T20Is against West Indies starting from Friday, 29th July.
