Windies Cricket announces 18 Man Squad ahead of Series against South Africa, Australia and Pakistan.

West Indies Cricket team has to play 3 back-to-back five-match T20 International (T20I) Series against South Africa, Australia and Pakistan.

Cricket West Indies  selection Panel on Tuesday selected a 18 men provisional squad for the upcoming series against South Africa, Australia and Pakistan. West Indies has to play ay 3 back-to-back five-match T20 International (T20I) Series.

According to West Indies Cricket, ” The expanded squad maintains the blend of experienced players with exciting young talent as the West Indies continue preparations in the build up to the defence of their ICC T20 World Cup title, to be held in India in October-November 2021″.

Cricket West Indies announced this on it’s official twitter account and quoted ” BREAKING NEWS : Take a first look at the provisional 18-man squad ahead of the three back-to-back five-match T20 International (T20I) Series against South Africa, Australia and Pakistan. #MissionMaroon “

Sheldon Cottrell, Shimron Hetmyer, Andre Russell, Oshane Thomas and Hayden Walsh Jr. return have made a comeback to the team.

According to Windies Cricket, ” the players will quarantine and train in St. Lucia ahead of the first T20I Series against South Africa starting on the June 26 at the Grenada National Cricket Stadium. The official squad will subsequently be selected and announced ahead of each Series.” West Indies (CWI)  also shared their schedule of the upcoming matches.
