When I was a kid, I mostly watched the Royal Rumble match in WWE, because it was very exciting to see all our favorite wrestlers in the same ring fighting each other and some wrestlers helped each other to win this event. It is one of the exciting nights on the WWE calendar. In this event, the winner of the event gets the chance to be in the main event of WrestleMania.
The whole show is built around the Royal Rumble match itself, a battle royal with a twist. This match starts with two wrestlers starting the match and every 90 seconds there is a new wrestler coming into the ring. There are 30 wrestlers in this event. And now there is a women’s Royal Rumble as well.
The men had a Rumble match for years and years. That all changed in 2018 when WWE finally gave us the Women’s Royal Rumble. Since then, every single Rumble event has had both a men’s and women’s match.
WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson actually invented the match itself and it has become one of the surest ways to main event WrestleMania. The very first was held way back in 1988 at the Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The event has almost always been held in late January since then; 2025 was a bit of an odd year, with the show pushed to early February.

Everyone knows that quote, “Never Give Up.” This is a quote of WWE’s 17-time World Champion John Cena. he is coming fourth in this list. He won his first Royal Rumble in 2008 and then after four years, he won his second Royal Rumble as well. In 2025 he also gets the chance to win his third Royal Rumble but unfortunately, Jey Uso kicks him and he wins the Royal Rumble. Last year, 2025, John Cena announced his retirement from wrestling.
Batista
The best physique in WWE. The power bomb king Batista. He made his debut in 2002 and after three years he got his first opportunity in 2005 after winning his first Royal Rumble. After 9 years he wins his second Royal Rumble in 2014 and gets a main event match in Wrestlemania. Batista’s final match was a no-holds-barred match against the Triple H, in this match he lost to him and then he announced his retirement and now he is a full-time actor.
