Bad Homburg Open, the third and final WTA 500 event of the grass-court, is underway in Germany.
The tournament was launched in 2021 as a WTA 250 event. It was elevated to a WTA 500-level competition in 2024.
The Bad Homburg Open 2025, which culminates on June 29 serves as a key warm-up ahead of Wimbledon.
Diana Shnaider is the defending champion in singles while the duo of Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Ellen Perez lifted the trophy in doubles in the last edition.
Five of the Top 10 players in the PIF WTA Singles Rankings are taking part including World No.8 Iga Swiatek, World No. 3 Jessica Pegula, World No. 5 Jasmine Paolini, World No.7 Mirra Andreeva and World No.9 Emma Navarro.
