WTC Points Update: India continued their dominance over the West Indies by winning the second and final Test of the two-match series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. This victory stretches India’s unbeaten run against the Caribbeans in Test cricket to an impressive 27 matches.
In the World Test Championship (WTC), this marks India’s fourth win in seven matches, bringing their points percentage (PCT) to 61.9. They retain third place in the standings, while the West Indies are yet to earn any points in this WTC cycle, having lost all five matches so far.
WTC Points Update: India’s Record in the 2025-27 WTC Cycle
India have lost only two Tests in this WTC cycle, both against England, while also drawing one game against the same side. Australia sits at the top of the table with a perfect PCT of 100 after winning all three of their matches. Sri Lanka are in second place with a PCT of 66.67, having played just two matches.
England are fourth with a PCT of 43.33 from five games and will soon face their toughest challenge of the cycle, the Ashes, starting next month. Bangladesh are fifth with a PCT of 16.67 after two matches. Meanwhile, New Zealand, Pakistan, and South Africa have yet to play a Test in this cycle. Pakistan and South Africa are currently in the middle of a Test match at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, with the result expected by tomorrow, October 15.

India’s Next Test Assignment
India’s next Test series will be a two-match assignment against South Africa. The first Test starts on November 14 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, followed by the second Test from November 22 at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Shubman Gill and his team will aim to win both games to boost their PCT and potentially move up to second place in the WTC standings.
