The End of Roman Reigns’ Reign

One of the biggest events this year happened at WrestleMania 40. Cody Rhodes pinned Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. This ended Reigns’ reign, which lasted 1,316 days. It was a historic moment for the wrestling world.

Historic Wins in Women’s Wrestling

Chelsea Green made history when she won the first-ever Women’s United States Championship. She defeated Michin at Saturday Night’s Main Event. In the men’s division, Shinsuke Nakamura became the new United States Champion. Nakamura won this title after defeating LA Knight at Survivor Series 2024.

Gunther’s Journey to World Heavyweight Champion

After losing the Intercontinental title to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40, Gunther set his sights on a bigger goal. He aimed for the World Heavyweight Championship. Gunther’s dream came true at SummerSlam 2024 when he defeated Damian Priest to become the champion.

New Tag Team Champions

In the tag team division, Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa, known as #DIY, won the WWE Tag Team titles. They defeated Motor City Machine Guns (MCMG). However, they later lost the titles to the Bloodline. The War Raiders, Erik and Ivar, became the World Tag Team Champions by defeating Finn Balor and JD McDonagh from The Judgment Day.

Women’s Tag Team Champions

Bianca Belair and Naomi are the current Women’s Tag Team Champions. Naomi stepped in for Jade Cargill, who is injured. Together, they defeated their opponents and took the titles.

Women’s World Champions

Liv Morgan made history by winning the Women’s World Championship. She defeated Becky Lynch at the WWE King And Queen Of The Ring 2024 event. On SmackDown, Nia Jax became the WWE Women’s Champion after defeating Bayley at SummerSlam.
