Indian opening batter Shikhar Dhawan has reached 6500 runs in ODI cricket. Indian cricket team is currently playing the first ODI against Zimbabwe in Zimbabwe. The first ODI between India and Zimbabwe started at 12:45 PM (IST) on Thursday. KL Rahul’s men were amazing in the first innings against Zimbabwe.

Indian cricket team bowlers were amazing in the first innings as they bowled out Zimbabwe on just 189 runs. Indian team didn’t have experienced pacers, still the bowling unit looked stunning in the game. Deepak Chahar who made his comeback in cricket after 6 months of long injury break took 3 wickets in the game.

India during their chase of 190 runs in 50 overs, started off well. Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill opened the innings despite having KL Rahul in the team. Shikhar Dhawan who loves playing ODI cricket reached to this milestone of reaching 6500 runs in ODI. After 10 overs, both the openers are well settled and haven’t gave away their wicket. India will be looking to take a 1-0 lead over Zimbabwe in this series after winning this game.

Shikhar Dhawan also played well in the recent ODI series against West Indies. He was also named captain in this series (against West Indies).
