The Royal Rumble match gives every WWE superstar an equal chance on paper. But in reality, only a few names are ever booked as serious winners. History shows that WWE prefers certain stars, while others are kept away from repeat victories to make space for fresh faces.
With the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble coming up, fans are already guessing who might win. While many big names will enter the match, these five superstars should not be the ones pointing at the WrestleMania sign this time.
Jey Uso already won last year
Jey Uso shocked many fans by winning the Royal Rumble in 2025. Winning two years in a row is very rare and usually reserved for the absolute top stars of an era.
Jey has grown a lot as a singles wrestler, but WWE now has many other names who need that moment more than him. Stars like Bron Breakker, LA Knight, or even AJ Styles would benefit far more from a Rumble win in 2026. Giving Jey another victory would feel unnecessary and repetitive.
Randy Orton does not need another Rumble win
Randy Orton is a WWE legend and has already won the Royal Rumble twice. He has also had countless title matches and WrestleMania moments over the years.
Even though he has been away from TV for some time, a third Rumble win would add very little to his career. WWE should instead use the match to build the future, not to add another achievement to an already packed resume.
Logan Paul winning would feel forced
Logan Paul has been strongly protected since joining the Vision storyline. He is a great villain and knows how to get attention, but that does not mean he should win the Royal Rumble.
He has already received big title opportunities without earning them the traditional way. A Rumble win should help elevate a full-time wrestler who has been grinding week after week. Giving that spot to Logan would feel unfair to the rest of the roster.
Brock Lesnar has already done it twice
Brock Lesnar appears only when it suits him, and that has been the case for many years now. He has already won the Royal Rumble twice and does not need another win to stay relevant.
Even if he enters the match, the focus should not be on him winning. WWE can easily place him into a major WrestleMania match without using the Rumble victory spot that could help a newer star.
Roman Reigns winning would slow everything down
Roman Reigns is still one of the biggest names in WWE, but another Royal Rumble win would hurt the overall product. He has been a part-time star for years and has already dominated the main event scene for a long time.
Roman does not need to win the Rumble to challenge for a title. He can step into a main event storyline at any moment. If he wins again, it limits opportunities for other wrestlers and pushes the rest of the roster backward instead of forward.
