Wimbledon 2024 is set to begin from July 01 in London. After the thrilling show of the French Open, the focus has shifted to the grass court of London.

The tournament will witness the likes of World No 1 Jannik Sinner, defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in action. Former World No. 1 Novak Djokovic’s participation is dicey as he is recuperating from injury.

While all eyes will be on these decorated players in men’s singles, there are some underdogs who might come from behind to steal the title.

Here are some of the dark horses who might throw a surprise at Wimbledon 2024.

Hubert Hurkacz shot to a career-high of seventh rank in the world this week just ahead of the Wimbledon 2024.

The 27-year-old reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon in 2021 but crashed out to Italy’s  M Berrettini . The Polish reached the final in Halle but was beaten by World No 1 Jannik Sinner.

Poland has never won a Wimbledon title and Hurkacz might just be the one to break the jinx in his country’s favor.

Tommy Paul- USA

The USA has not won a grand slam in men’s singles ever since Andy Roddick won the 2003 U.S. Open. However, Tommy Paul might end the US drought at Wimbledon 2024.

Tommy Paul is being hailed as the new King of Queen’s after he picked up his first grass court title at the Queen’s Club Championship. He also became the new American number one with the victory.

The 27-year-old dropped only one set in Queen’s, against Britain’s number one Jack Draper, and stated that the victory was the “perfect way to go to Wimbledon” where he has never gone past the fourth round.
