WWE SmackDown has one of the most stacked rosters in wrestling today. With more than 100 wrestlers split between RAW and SmackDown, it’s tough for every superstar to find TV time each week. Naturally, the spotlight often goes to the biggest names, while others quietly fade away in the background.
Recently, the likes of Cody Rhodes, John Cena, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Tiffany Stratton have dominated the blue brand. But this has left several other stars, including champions, with little to no direction. Let’s look at four SmackDown wrestlers who seem to be losing their push under Triple H’s booking.
Zelina Vega’s big moment didn’t last long
Zelina Vega created history in 2025 by winning her first-ever singles title in WWE, the Women’s United States Championship. Fans loved her journey, and she proved herself as both a fiery babyface and a cunning heel.
But the momentum didn’t last. After dropping her title, Vega has been missing from SmackDown programming. This is often the case for wrestlers who aren’t main-event players—once the belt is gone, so is their screen time. Unless she finds a new storyline or pairs up with Michin, Vega may remain absent for weeks.
Legado Del Fantasma are barely seen
Legado Del Fantasma had all the tools to become one of the top factions in WWE. Santos Escobar is a natural leader, while Los Garza (Angel and Humberto) bring athleticism and charisma.
But lately, the group has been used sparingly. Part of this is because Los Garza worked more in Lucha Libre AAA, where they briefly held tag team gold. While talented, they have been pushed aside due to SmackDown’s overflowing tag team division. Unless creative finds a way to reheat their momentum, Legado might continue to be overlooked.
Shinsuke Nakamura is being forgotten
Not too long ago, Shinsuke Nakamura was one of the most exciting names on SmackDown. His hard-hitting style and charisma made him a fan favorite. He even held the United States Championship earlier this year.
However, Nakamura’s push has stalled completely. His last notable appearance came in a King of the Ring qualifier in June, where he lost against bigger names like Cody Rhodes and Damian Priest. Since then, The King of Strong Style has almost disappeared from WWE TV. At this point, it feels like WWE has no long-term plans for him.
Rey Fenix hasn’t shined since his debut
When Rey Fenix jumped from AEW to WWE, fans were buzzing. His high-flying style brought instant excitement, and he quickly filled in for Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 41. He teamed up with Andrade, and the duo even challenged for the Tag Team Titles twice.
Fenix had several thrilling matches, but his last SmackDown appearance came in July during a six-team TLC match at SummerSlam. Since then, the former AEW standout has vanished from TV. Fans expected him to be a consistent highlight, but WWE seems unsure how to use him moving forward.
