WWE has always been about drama, emotions, and unexpected twists. Fans love seeing friendships turn into rivalries inside the ring. But sometimes, what happens behind the scenes is just as real as the storylines we watch on television.

There are WWE superstars who were once close but are no longer friends in real life. These broken friendships often spill into their on-screen rivalries, making the feuds even more intense. Here are four WWE stars who are not friends anymore outside the ring.

CM Punk and Seth Rollins

CM Punk and Seth Rollins have been at odds ever since Punk made his shocking WWE return at Survivor Series 2023. On-screen, Rollins has made it clear that he doesn’t like Punk, and interestingly, this dislike is not just part of the storyline.

Former wrestler Bully Ray even confirmed on Busted Open Radio that the heat between Punk and Rollins is very real. Both men reportedly don’t get along behind the scenes.

Their rivalry has now expanded to include Becky Lynch and AJ Lee, making it one of the hottest storylines in WWE. But for fans, the tension feels real because their off-screen dislike adds extra fuel to the fire.

Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair

Once considered inseparable, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are now far from best friends. The two are part of WWE’s famous Four Horsewomen, but their relationship took a big hit in 2021.

During the WWE Draft that year, both superstars were involved in a heated title exchange segment, which fans could tell was more than just acting. Later, Becky admitted in an interview that her bond with Charlotte had changed, confirming that things were not the same anymore.

Even though both continue to shine in WWE, their strained relationship behind the curtain has been well-documented, and it still surprises many fans who once saw them as the strongest duo.

AJ Styles and Paul Heyman

This one might come as a surprise to some fans. AJ Styles and Paul Heyman, two respected names in wrestling, reportedly don’t see eye-to-eye in real life.

The issue goes back to 2021 when Styles’ close friends Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were released from WWE. Rumors suggested that Heyman played a role in that decision, which created bad blood between him and Styles.

Although Heyman later stated that his talks with Vince McMahon about the releases were confidential, Styles has not forgotten the incident. Since then, their relationship has remained rocky.

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk

Another superstar who shares heat with CM Punk is Drew McIntyre. The two clashed throughout 2024 in one of WWE’s most intense rivalries.

They had several matches against each other, many of which became instant classics, but their real-life issues were also discussed openly. In early 2025, McIntyre even called Punk a “terrible person,” making it clear that the animosity wasn’t just scripted.

Their personal dislike added an extra edge to their matches, making the rivalry one of the most talked-about storylines of the year.
