5 Possible NBA Trades Ahead Of Next Season

The NBA 2023-24 season is over and the Boston Celtics are the new champion. With this the trading season has also arrived.

With most players available for the right price, it would be worth looking into the possible trade during the off-season.

The NBA (National Basketball Association) has become a trade league. As the majority of the teams prepare for the 2024-25 season, rumours have started flying out about the viable trades. In such scenarios, some players are likelier than others.

Here are some such trade possibilities at the NBA:

Mikal Bridges to Houston

The Rockets are said to have offered the Nets some combination of their picks back to try and pocket Bridges at the deadline. However, Brooklyn refused.

According to sources, officials from the Nets’ front office have  told teams that it views Bridges as a costar to whichever big name it can trade for down the line.”

Bogdan Bogdanović to Dallas

Dallas has got no chill!  It is on a hunt to fill the void in the roster. It is on the lookout for a third offensive player who can not only consistently make shots but also regularly put opposing defenses in rotation.

Bogdanović fits the bill. He proved his mettle with his pull-up triples and shots on drives. He also displayed his skill as a secondary ball-mover and reliable spot-up sniper. He might prove to be an asset for Dallas with his off the dribble shots. He could be the eye-sore for defense.

Alex Caruso to Philadelphia

Caruso stands out as an every-scenario fit. His salary next season is low enough ($9.9 million) that it doesn’t seriously gravely disturb Philadelphia’s finances even if it intends to max out Paul George.

Having both Caruso and Joel Embiid in the team ensures the Sixers’ scintillating line-up of defense.

The Bulls, reportedly, declined a top-10 pick in this year’s draft to move Caruso.

Ayo Dosunmu to Milwaukee

Milwaukee might be hesitant to put the boot in on two cost-controlled roster spots, but it doesn’t have the open-ended timeline to streamline development, and its rotation needs a jolt of versatility and diversity and verve on the perimeter.

Dosunmu can prove to be a muti-tasker. He can defend both guard spots and navigate up to certain wings. Tackling star covers isn’t out of the question, either.

Anfernee Simons to Orlando

Simons’s switch to Orlando has been the buzz of the town. Half-court shot-making and facilitation are what the Magic’s looking for in the off-season. And Simons could deliver on both fronts. He isn’t a quintessential floor general, but he has improved his live-dribble game.
