WWE has always been more than just wrestling it’s a world where intense rivalries, deep friendships, and real-life romances are born. Many superstars who met backstage or on tour ended up falling in love and even tying the knot. While some became power couples in the wrestling world, others couldn’t make their relationships last due to the demanding lifestyle that comes with being a WWE superstar.
Let’s take a look at five WWE couples whose marriages sadly ended in divorce.
Charlotte Flair and Andrade
Charlotte Flair and Andrade began dating in 2019 and quickly became one of WWE’s favorite couples. Their relationship was filled with sweet public moments, and they got engaged in 2020 during the pandemic. The two exchanged vows on May 27, 2022, in a beautiful ceremony attended by close friends and family, including Ric Flair.
However, just two years later, in June 2024, the couple filed for divorce. Reports suggested that their hectic wrestling schedules made it difficult to maintain their relationship. By October, their divorce was finalized, marking the end of one of WWE’s most talked-about modern romances.
Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth
Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth were the ultimate power couple of wrestling’s golden era. They met in 1982 and secretly married two years later. When Savage joined WWF in 1985, Elizabeth became his on-screen manager, creating one of the most iconic duos in wrestling history.
Their relationship, however, didn’t have a fairytale ending. The couple divorced in 1992 after years of personal and professional strain. While the exact reason remained private, many believed their intense schedules and constant travel contributed to the split. Despite their separation, both continued to work together in WCW years later, proving that their bond at least professionally never completely faded.
Drew McIntyre and Tiffany
Before becoming a world champion, Drew McIntyre was married to former WWE Diva Tiffany. The two met in 2007 and married in May 2010. At that time, both were building their names in the wrestling world and often appeared together in WWE events.
Unfortunately, their marriage was short-lived. The couple divorced in 2011 after less than a year together. McIntyre later found love again and married Kaitlyn Frohnapfel in 2016. Tiffany, meanwhile, stepped away from wrestling in 2022 to focus on acting and family life.
Stone Cold Steve Austin and Debra
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Debra met during their WCW days and grew closer after joining WWE. Their chemistry both on and off-screen was undeniable, and the pair married on September 13, 2000, in Las Vegas. Fans loved seeing them together during Austin’s heel run in 2001.
But things took a difficult turn soon after. The couple divorced in 2003, just before Austin’s official retirement from wrestling. Austin went on to marry Kristin Feres in 2009, while Debra left the wrestling scene for good, occasionally making small appearances in independent circuits.
Charlotte Flair and Thomas Latimer
Before Andrade, Charlotte Flair was married to wrestler Thomas Latimer, better known as Bram. The two met in 2013 while both were working to make their names in wrestling. They tied the knot in a private ceremony that same year.
Unfortunately, their marriage only lasted two years. In 2015, Charlotte filed for divorce, which was finalized later that year. In her 2017 book Second Nature, Charlotte opened up about how the split affected her emotionally, admitting that it was one of the toughest phases of her life.
