The Hockey India Annual Awards 2024 is set to take place this weekend to recognise the outstanding performances that were witnessed during that season.
On Monday, Hockey India officially announced the nominees for the seventh edition of the Hockey India Annual Awards. The award ceremony will be held on March 15 at Le Meridien, Connaught Place in New Delhi.
The award ceremony will be special as 2025 marks 100 years of Indian hockey and its affiliation with the International Hockey Federation (FIH) in 1925.
As many as 32 nominees across eight categories have been shortlisted for the Hockey India Annual Awards 2024.
Apart from giving the awards to the winners in the ceremony, India’s Paris 2024 Olympics bronze medal-winning team will also be felicitated alongside the Asian Champions Trophy-winning men’s and women’s teams and the Junior Asia Cup-winning squads.
Meanwhile, excellence across various positions will be acknowledged through Hockey India’s Baljit Singh Award for Goalkeeper of the Year, Pargat Singh Award for Defender of the Year, Ajit Pal Singh Award for Midfielder of the Year and Dhanraj Pillay Award for Forward of the Year.
