The World Rugby SVNS Series 2024-25 returns to Hong Kong, China this weekend. Eight men’s and women’s teams from the competition will qualify for the World Championship in Los Angeles in May.
The three-day event will be held from 28-30 March with the grand opening at the 50,000-seat Kai Tak Stadium.
Argentina leads the men’s series with 68 points after back-to-back wins in Vancouver and Perth, while Spain, Fiji Airways men’s 7s team and South Africa chase close behind.
There’s currently a four-way battle for the league title in the men’s division, with Argentina, Spain, Fiji and South Africa separated by just six points.
In the women’s competition, New Zealand and Australia continue their fierce rivalry, with the Black Ferns claiming their second title of the season in Vancouver. Team China makes a comeback after six years hiatus.
