Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad

The Santiago Bernabeu has been a witness to many moments of madness and this match will make it into the list. The comebacks are a thing at the Bernabeu but the match had 2 in the same match, one for each team.

Real Sociedad have struggled all season with their attacking woes, looked like a team possessed

Sociedad, who have struggled all season with their attacking woes, looked like a team possessed. They are sitting 10th on the La liga table and have only managed to score 27 goals in 29 matches this season. But thanks to Oyarzabal and Co., this turned out to be one of the most highly contested matches played at the White temple this season.

The game started with Barrenetxea scoring in the 16th minute with a beautifully timed run leaving Vasquez out of the equation and then finishing on the near post. This effort was nullified by the Brazilian teenager, Endrick who has now scored 5 goals in 5 Copa Del Rey games. Endrick scored the scooped finish in the 30th minute to make it 1-1 on the night.

The second half saw the game open up and Real Sociedad looked keen on every attack and were ready to commit to the motive as they pushed bodies forward, also allowing Real to play on their preferred counter-attack. This tactic reaped rewards for Real Sociedad two successive goals in the 72nd and 80th minute through an own goal by David Alaba and a goal by Oyarzabal from the zero degree angle.

Antonio Rudiger won it for the Los Blancos

Finally, El Loco won it for the Los Blancos but it was a matter of grit that Sociedad players showed and displayed courage to come and play at Real Madrid’s home and give the home team a run for their money.
