Chelsea Vs Legia Warszawa: Chelsea just outclassed their polish opponents, Legia. They currently sit 5th in the polish Ekstraklasa. Chelsea are currently in the 4th place in the English Premier league closely followed by many clubs.
Chelsea, who has been favorite ever since the competition started, had another easy outing and went to score 3 goals without any problem. Noni Madueke scored a brace from 2 assists from Jadon Sancho. This can be a serious decision in Sancho’s situation for the summer.
Sancho’s situation for the summer
Sancho has raked up 6 assists this season for Chelsea which is more than the last 2 seasons combined for Manchester United. Chelsea have a decision to make on whether Sancho should be bought for a price tag of €25 million set by Man united or be sent back after a loan spell at Stamford Bridge this season.
He has had an impact in the frontline for Chelsea but was it enough and can Enzo Maresca depend on him, will be seen in the next few months.
Chelsea Vs Legia Warszawa 1st Half
The match saw the 1st half that started with a swagger by Chelsea as they kept possession and continued to surge forward in the quest for their goal. The quality in the third half of the pitch disappointed Maresca as Chelsea failed to capitalise on the dominant display of football as no goals were scored in the 1st half and also failed to create any good chances.
Chelsea Vs Legia Warszawa 2nd Half
The 2nd half was a different story, Chelsea looked more direct in their approach. Noni Madueke was used more and kept attacking from the right wing which led to a more serious display in attacking perspectives.
This continued pressure resulted in the 1st goal in the 49th minute straight after the break from Tyrique George who slotted in a rebound from a Reece James’ shot. This opened the floodgates for Chelsea.

The other two goals were scored by Noni Madueke from 2 assists by Jadon Sancho. The other highlight was that Christopher Nkunku failed to convert a penalty as the Frenchman continued on his abysmal form for Chelsea.
Enzo Maresca was sceptical about the first half performance
Enzo Maresca was sceptical about the first half performance but applauded the second half display.
“Overall it was a professional performance. First half we were too slow, we needed to be a little bit more quick on the ball — especially against teams that they wait for us — so you have to be quick. We had some good moments in the first half, but second half I think we were much better.”

“It’s always good to win games, because it gives us confidence. I think in the last seven, eight games, we are scoring goals — we are not conceding goals. Now it’s just to try to finish and to maintain that until the end.”
